Get that job

Over the years we have had questions about all aspects of applying for a job.  The one thing that we try to impart is that it takes resilience.  You may send out CV’s and not get replies, it’s all part of the process. There are ups and downs, interviews that you absolutely ace and ones that you feel you might have done better at, it’s all part of the process.

Mind yourself

It is important to mind yourself through the process.  To treat looking for a job like a job. Spend an apportioned amount of time on it every day and then…stop… and go back to being your wonderful self.

Here is our ‘Get that job’ a guide to help when looking for employment.  It is a guide to doing your CV, applying online, interview techniques, employment supports and tips for staying positive.

You can also download Get that job, or request hard copies from us at youthinfo@crosscare.ie

Best of luck with the job search, and if you are stuck on any part of it just ask for help.  You can contact us or the list of supports on the guide.

If you have any questions you can contact or drop-in to your local Crosscare Youth Information office in BrayDun Laoghaire or Clondalkin.
